# How do I set a release date for a pre-save?

#### Setting your release date

You’ll need to enter:

- Release date
- Release time (UTC)

This should match your distribution release date.

#### Best practice

For best results:

- Launch your pre-save 2 to 4 weeks before release
- Promote consistently leading up to the date
