Understanding Spotify For Artists

Spotify for Artists is Spotify’s platform for artists and their teams to manage artist profiles, view performance data, pitch unreleased music and access other Spotify features.

How do I claim my Spotify artist profile?

Once Music Gateway has delivered your release to Spotify, you can claim your artist profile through Spotify for Artists. You will need to verify your association with the artist profile.

How do I get verified on Spotify?

Verification is managed through Spotify for Artists, and Spotify will verify your account through its own processes once you have accessed your artist profile.

When will my release appear in Spotify for Artists?

Releases delivered to Spotify will usually appear in your Spotify For Artists account within 24-48 hours. If your release fails to show after this time, it may have been incorrectly mapped, so please contact our support team.

My music is showing on the wrong artist profile. What should I do?

If your release has gone live but is incorrectly mapped to another artist, or there is someone else's release on your profile, we can investigate the delivery and request a correction where necessary. Simply complete this form and the team will request the fix!

How do I pitch my music to Spotify editorial playlists?

You can pitch upcoming, unreleased music directly through Spotify for Artists and we recommend pitching as early as possible before the release date. Playlist placement is decided by Spotify and cannot be guaranteed.

What is Spotify Discovery Mode?

Discovery Mode is a Spotify promotional programme that can increase the likelihood of eligible tracks being recommended to listeners in certain personalised contexts. Eligibility and participation are determined by Spotify. If your track/s are eligible for Discovery Mode through our distribution service, we may contact you or request your approval before adding your track to a Discovery Mode campaign.
