How can I request for an Official Artist Channel on YouTube?
You can create an official YouTube channel if you distribute through us. Here's how below...
- The YouTube channel must represent one artist or band only and the channel name must be the artist or band name to be eligible. NOTE - Your YouTube Artist Channel name must match your artist name.
- An OAC can only be requested once your song is officially released/live on YouTube and distributed via our service.
- Do you have any official channel that our provider could use to merge the Topic channel? If you don't have one yet, please create it and upload at least one official music or live video that matches one of the releases from the Topic channel.
- When it's done, please contact distribution@musicgateway.com and send us the URL links to your Official Channel & Topic channel. Our provider can then submit the OAC request to YouTube.
- Please note that it will take some time to perform quality assurance and then upgrade the channel. OAC upgrades can take anywhere from 1 week to 1-2 months.
- Once the upgrade is complete, you will see the auto-generated music video and album shelves on your homepage. You’ll also have access to Concerts and Profile sections in your YouTube Studio and lastly, you'll have the music note icon next to your channel name.
