To claim your royalties, you need to ensure your royalties are set up correctly via your Music Gateway account.
Set Up Your Royalties:
Managing and claiming your royalties with Music Gateway is a straightforward process. Follow these steps:
1. Set Up Your Royalties:
• Navigate to the My Music, Distribution, or Publishing sections of your account.
• Scroll to the bottom of these pages to set up your royalties. This will generate a request to process your royalties.
2. Understand Your Statement Timeline:
• Your first royalty statement will be generated three months after your initial distribution or two months after your royalty processing request.
• Statements are sent either monthly (for Pro or Unlimited subscribers) or quarterly (for free account users).
3. Access and Withdraw Your Royalties:
• Via your digital royalty statement, you can request a withdrawal of your royalties, which will be processed by our team.
• Statements cover data generated by platforms starting from the month your tracks were approved for distribution.
4. Statement Details:
• Your first statement covers the reports generated for the first month of the three-month period. Subsequent statements will then follow this sequence.
• Example: If you distribute in March and receive your first statement in June, it will cover data from March only. The next statement will show data for April, and so on.
5. Platform-Specific Reporting:
•Spotify’s reporting structure determines the statement timeline mentioned above, but this may differ for other DSPs.
6. Handling Discrepancies or Errors:
•If you notice discrepancies in your royalty reports, reach out directly to the Digital Streaming Platform (DSP) in question.
•For admin or hyperlink errors in Music Gateway’s statements, provide the correct details or amendments, and our team will investigate further for you.
7. Important Notes:
•Music Gateway only collects royalties from the date your tracks are approved for distribution.
•Any royalties generated before this date must be claimed directly with your previous distributor.
