How Do Royalty Reports Work?

Learn how royalty reporting works and when to expect your first statement.

If you've distributed music through Music Gateway, you may become eligible for royalty reporting once platforms begin sending earnings data.

Most artists see their first royalty report approximately 3–4 months after their music has been released. However, reporting timelines vary between platforms and may take longer depending on the service and level of activity.

When a song becomes eligible for royalty reporting, it will appear in the Release > Royalties section of your Music Gateway account.

Royalty statements are emailed monthly to the email address linked to your Music Gateway account by our reporting partner, Eddy.
