Each streaming platform pays a different rate per stream. Plus, the value of an individual stream can vary depending on factors like the listener’s location.
With downloads, you’re able to set the price band when releasing your song through Music Gateway. These earnings will also vary, as stores take a 10-30% commission. PRS will automatically take 8% and then there is also around 3-5% variance in bank charges when royalties are sent over.
Please note that VAT is not applicable on royalties.
